bug crush is the alt-folk project of Brooklyn-based songwriter Carolyn Fahrner, in the vein of The Cranberries and Elliott Smith. Her debut EP, Somehow I go in circles all the time (May 2025, produced by Oli Deakin), earned mentions from FLOOD Magazine, Stereogum, WXPN, and BrooklynVegan reaching playlists at WLUW and KEXP.
In July 2025, bug crush set off on a self-booked tour across notable cities like Philadelphia, Montreal, Toronto, and Boston. In April 2026, bug crush supported Sara Devoe for her album release tour playing venues like Baby G's in Toronto, Night Club 101 in NYC, and Turbo Haus in Montreal. Following that, bug crush did a string of shows in the UK in June 2026, supporting Gretel in Bristol at the Louisiana, and Iona Luke in London at Paper Dress Vintage.
Now, bug crush is continuing to work alongside Oli Deakin on an upcoming project set for release in 2027.
